Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources to achieve organisational goals. This role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, financial management, and leadership of the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives, and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
• Oversee daily operations, including managing staff, controlling costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, prepare budgets, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African labour laws, industry regulations, and company policies, including but not limited to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and the Companies Act.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and implement new business opportunities and improvements to existing operations.
• Prepare and present reports on operational performance to {{reporting_manager_title}}.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
