Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain and logistics operations. This includes planning, implementing, and monitoring the overall logistics strategy to improve efficiency, optimise costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The coordinator will ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

**Inventory Management:** Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

**Transportation Management:** Coordinate and track the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers, selecting appropriate transportation methods and carriers.

**Warehouse Operations:** Oversee warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

**Supplier and Vendor Management:** Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.

**Documentation and Compliance:** Prepare and manage all necessary logistics documentation, including shipping manifests, customs declarations, and delivery notes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

**Route Optimization:** Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimise fuel costs, transit times, and environmental impact.

**Problem Resolution:** Address and resolve any logistical problems, delays, or issues that may arise during transit or distribution.

**Reporting and Analysis:** Generate regular reports on logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

**Cost Management:** Monitor and control logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

**Education:** Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
