Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.

• Take and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.

• Assist the physician during examinations and minor procedures.

• Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by the physician.

• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.

• Manage patient appointments, calls, and correspondence.

• Update and maintain patient medical records and other related documentation.

• Handle billing, coding, and insurance claims.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and common areas.

• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the physician.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and clinical procedures.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work.

• Social perceptiveness and service-oriented.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software (e.g., {{software_name}}).

• Degree in medical assistance; certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
