Job Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures the stable operation of the company's computer networks and all connected systems and hardware, planning and executing network upgrades, and troubleshooting network issues.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network segments.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
Perform network upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
Conduct network capacity planning and make recommendations for future network enhancements.
Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
Respond to network outages and perform root cause analysis.
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users on network-related issues.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
Participate in an on-call rotation for critical network support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.

Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei.

Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
This position typically operates in a professional office environment. Occasional travel to remote sites may be required.
Ability to lift and move network equipment occasionally.
