1. Introduction

This Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy (hereinafter referred to as 'the Policy') establishes the framework for the responsible design, development, deployment, and use of AI systems and technologies within {{company_name}}. It aims to ensure that AI is leveraged to benefit our employees, customers, and stakeholders, while mitigating risks related to ethics, fairness, privacy, security, and accountability.

All employees, contractors, and third-party partners engaging with AI systems or data within {{company_name}} are bound by the principles and guidelines set forth in this Policy.

2. Policy Statement and Objectives

3. Ethical Principles for AI

f) Human Oversight: Appropriate human oversight and intervention capabilities will be incorporated into AI systems, particularly for high-risk applications.

4. Data Management for AI

Robust data governance is critical for responsible AI. All data used in AI systems will adhere to the following:

a) Data Quality: Data used for training, testing, and operating AI systems must be accurate, complete, and relevant.

b) Data Privacy and Security: All personal and sensitive data will be handled in accordance with {{company_name}}'s Data Protection Policy and applicable laws. Anonymisation and pseudonymisation techniques will be employed where appropriate.

c) Data Sourcing: Data will be obtained through legitimate and ethical means, with appropriate consent mechanisms in place where required.

b) Risk Assessment: Before developing or deploying any AI system, a comprehensive risk assessment will be conducted to identify potential ethical, security, privacy, and operational risks.

c) Training and Awareness: Regular training will be provided to employees involved in AI development, deployment, or use, ensuring awareness of this Policy and best practices.

d) Continuous Monitoring and Review: AI systems will be continuously monitored for performance, bias, and adherence to policy. This Policy will be reviewed and updated annually, or as necessitated by changes in technology or regulation.

6. Compliance and Reporting

All individuals covered by this Policy are responsible for understanding and adhering to its provisions. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contractual agreements.
