1. Purpose
The purpose of this Sales Commission Plan (the 'Plan') is to outline the commission structure for the sales team at {{company_name}}.
This Plan aims to motivate and reward sales employees for achieving and exceeding sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
2. Eligibility
This Plan applies to all full-time and part-time sales employees of {{company_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'Sales Representatives').
Eligibility may be subject to a probationary period as defined in the Sales Representative's employment contract.
3. Commission Structure
Sales Representatives will earn commission based on the achievement of specific sales targets, measured by {{metrics_of_measurement, e.g., gross revenue, net profit, units sold}}.
The base commission rate for achieving 100% of the monthly sales target is {{base_commission_rate}}% of the {{commissionable_value, e.g., net sales value}}.
Tiered commission rates may apply as follows:
- {{tier_1_percentage}}% for sales between {{tier_1_lower_bound}}% and {{tier_1_upper_bound}}% of target.
- {{tier_2_percentage}}% for sales exceeding {{tier_2_upper_bound}}% of target.
Specific product or service commissions may vary and will be communicated separately by management.
4. Sales Targets
Individual sales targets will be communicated to each Sales Representative at the beginning of each {{commission_period, e.g., month, quarter}}.
Targets are set based on {{factors_for_setting_targets, e.g., historical performance, market conditions, company goals}}.
Sales targets may be adjusted periodically at the discretion of management, with prior notification to Sales Representatives.
5. Commission Calculation and Payment
Commissions will be calculated on {{basis_of_calculation, e.g., paid invoices, closed deals, delivered goods}}.
Commission payments will be processed on the {{payment_day}}th of each {{payment_month_cycle, e.g., month, following month}}, covering sales from the previous {{commission_period}}.
A detailed statement of commission earnings will be provided with each payment.
6. Deductions and Chargebacks
In the event of product returns, service cancellations, or uncollectible accounts related to a commissionable sale, a proportional commission chargeback will be applied to the Sales Representative's future commission earnings.
Any disputes regarding chargebacks must be raised within {{dispute_period}} days of receiving the commission statement.
7. Termination of Employment
In the event of termination of employment, commission earnings will be calculated up to the last day of employment.
Any outstanding commissions due will be paid in the final paycheck, subject to any applicable deductions or chargebacks.
Sales Representatives who resign or are terminated for cause may forfeit commissions on sales not yet fully concluded or paid at the time of termination, as per company policy.
8. Amendments to the Plan
{{company_name}} reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate this Sales Commission Plan at any time, with reasonable prior notice to Sales Representatives.
Any changes will be communicated in writing and will take effect from the date specified in the notification.
9. Confidentiality
All information regarding sales targets, commission rates, and earnings is confidential and should not be disclosed to unauthorized parties.
