This letter serves as a formal response to your request, dated {{request_date}}, for permission to sublease the property located at {{property_address}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Property'), which you currently lease from us under the agreement dated {{original_lease_date}}.
LANDLORD'S CONSENT
Subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this document, {{company_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Landlord') hereby grants consent for you, {{tenant_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Sublessor'), to sublease the Property to {{sublessee_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Sublessee').

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONSENT
1. **Original Lease Remains in Effect**: The original lease agreement between the Landlord and the Sublessor, dated {{original_lease_date}}, remains in full force and effect. The Sublessor remains solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities under the original lease, including but not limited to the payment of rent, maintenance of the property, and adherence to all terms and conditions therein.
2. **Sublessee's Obligations**: The Sublessor shall ensure that the Sublessee complies with all terms and conditions of the original lease agreement. Any breach of the original lease by the Sublessee shall be considered a breach by the Sublessor.
3. **Rent Payment**: All rental payments shall continue to be made by the Sublessor directly to the Landlord, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
4. **Security Deposit**: The Landlord acknowledges that any security deposit arranged between the Sublessor and Sublessee is a private arrangement. The original security deposit paid by the Sublessor to the Landlord remains subject to the terms of the original lease agreement.
5. **Property Condition**: The Sublessor is responsible for ensuring that the Property is returned to the Landlord in the same condition as received, reasonable wear and tear excepted, at the expiration of the original lease term.
6. **Indemnity**: The Sublessor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Landlord from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses arising from the sublease arrangement or the Sublessee's occupancy of the Property.
7. **No Assignment of Rights**: This consent to sublease does not constitute an assignment of the original lease or any of the Sublessor's rights or obligations thereunder, except as explicitly stated herein.
8. **Governing Law**: This Consent to Sublease Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of {{jurisdiction}}.
