EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
This Employment Contract (“Contract”) is made and entered into on this {{day}} day of {{month}}, {{year}}, by and between:
{{company_name}}, a company duly registered under the laws of {{country}}, with its principal place of business at {{company_address}} (hereinafter referred to as the “Employer”);
AND
{{employee_name}}, an adult residing at {{employee_address}}, holding National Identification Document/Passport number {{id_number}} (hereinafter referred to as the “Employee”).
1. Position and Duties
The Employer hereby employs the Employee in the position of {{job_title}}.
The Employee shall report to {{reporting_manager}} and shall perform such duties and responsibilities as are customary for this position, and such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably assigned by the Employer. A detailed job description is attached hereto as Schedule A.
2. Commencement of Employment
The Employee’s employment with the Employer shall commence on {{start_date}}.
3. Remuneration
The Employee shall be paid a gross monthly salary of {{currency}} {{salary_amount}} ({{salary_amount_words}}) payable in arrears on or before the last working day of each month. This salary is subject to statutory deductions such as Pay As You Earn (PAYE), National Social Security Fund (NSSF), National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF), or their equivalents as per the laws of {{country}}.
The Employer shall review the Employee's salary periodically, but not less than once every {{review_period}} months, based on performance and market conditions.
4. Working Hours
The Employee’s normal working hours shall be from {{start_time}} to {{end_time}}, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The Employee may be required to work additional hours as and when necessary to meet the demands of the business.
5. Leave Entitlement
The Employee shall be entitled to {{annual_leave_days}} days of paid annual leave per annum, taken at such times as may be agreed with the Employer, considering the operational requirements of the business.
Sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, and other forms of leave shall be granted in accordance with the prevailing labor laws of {{country}}.
6. Probationary Period
The Employee shall serve a probationary period of {{probation_period_months}} months, commencing from the start date of employment. During this period, either party may terminate this Contract by giving {{probation_notice_days}} days’ written notice.
Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the employment shall be confirmed in writing.
7. Termination of Employment
After the probationary period, either party may terminate this Contract by giving {{notice_period_months}} month’s written notice or by paying salary in lieu of notice.
The Employer may terminate this Contract summarily without notice for gross misconduct, insubordination, or any other valid reason as provided for by the labor laws of {{country}}.
8. Confidentiality
The Employee agrees to keep confidential all proprietary information, trade secrets, business strategies, customer lists, and all other confidential information relating to the Employer's business, both during and after the term of employment.
9. Governing Law
This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of {{country}}.
