Attorney Agreement

This Attorney Agreement ('Agreement') is made and entered into on this {{date}} by and between:

{{client_name}}, residing at {{client_address}} (hereinafter referred to as 'Client'),

AND

{{firm_name}}, a legal firm duly registered under the laws of [Country], with its principal office located at {{firm_address}} (hereinafter referred to as 'Attorney').

Collectively referred to as the 'Parties'.

1. Engagement of Services

The Client hereby engages the Attorney to provide legal services concerning {{matter_description}}. The Attorney agrees to render such legal services with due diligence, competence, and in accordance with all applicable laws and ethical obligations.

2. Scope of Services

The scope of services to be provided by the Attorney under this Agreement includes, but is not limited to: {{scope_of_services_details}}. Any services outside this defined scope will require a separate written agreement or amendment to this Agreement.

3. Attorney's Responsibilities

The Attorney shall: provide competent and diligent legal representation; keep the Client reasonably informed about the status of the matter; promptly comply with reasonable requests for information; and consult with the Client regarding important decisions in the matter.

4. Client's Responsibilities

The Client shall: cooperate fully with the Attorney; promptly provide all information and documentation reasonably required; keep the Attorney informed of any changes in contact information or circumstances; and timely pay all fees and expenses as outlined in this Agreement.

5. Fees and Billing

The Client agrees to pay the Attorney for legal services rendered at the rate of {{hourly_rate}} per hour, or a flat fee of {{flat_fee_amount}} for the entire matter, or a contingency fee of {{contingency_percentage}}% of any recovery (strike out whichever is not applicable).

In addition to legal fees, the Client shall be responsible for all reasonable costs and disbursements incurred by the Attorney in connection with the matter, including but not limited to, court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and photocopying costs. These expenses will be billed separately.

A retainer of {{retainer_amount}} is required upon signing this Agreement, which will be applied against future fees and costs. Statements for services rendered and costs incurred will be issued {{billing_frequency}} and are payable within {{payment_due_days}} days of receipt.

6. Termination of Agreement

This Agreement may be terminated by either Party upon {{notice_period}} days' written notice.

Upon termination, the Client shall pay all outstanding fees and expenses for services rendered up to the date of termination. The Attorney shall return to the Client any unearned portion of the retainer and all original documents and property belonging to the Client.

7. Confidentiality

The Attorney agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by the Client and to not disclose such information to third parties without the Client's prior written consent, except as required by law or ethical rules.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Country]. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through {{dispute_resolution_method}} (e.g., mediation, arbitration, or litigation in the courts of [Country]).
