Job Summary

The City and Regional Planning Aide assists professional planners in various tasks related to urban and regional development. This role involves data collection, research, report preparation, and administrative support to ensure efficient planning operations and compliance with local regulations. The aide will contribute to projects aimed at improving community infrastructure, land use, and overall urban sustainability.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of planning data, including demographic, economic, environmental, and land use information.

Prepare maps, charts, graphs, and other visual aids using GIS software and other relevant tools to support planning projects and presentations.

Conduct research on planning best practices, government regulations, and development policies.

Assist in the preparation of planning reports, presentations, and policy documents.

Provide administrative support to the planning department, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.

Respond to inquiries from the public regarding zoning ordinances, permit applications, and general planning information.

Qualifications
