Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and facilitating efficient goods movement within the warehouse or distribution center. This role plays a critical part in optimising the supply chain and supporting business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures, including counting, reconciling, and recording physical stock.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
• Generate inventory reports and provide insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
• Identify and recommend improvements to inventory management processes and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
