Job Summary:

The Product Design Manager will lead and inspire a team of product designers to create innovative and user-centric products. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience (UX) best practices, and the ability to translate business goals into compelling product designs that resonate with our target market in Southern Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement design strategies that align with overall business objectives and product roadmaps.

Oversee the entire product design lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality and consistent user experiences across all products.

Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on product features.

Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to define product requirements and ensure successful execution.

Establish and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure design consistency and efficiency.

Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Demonstrable portfolio showcasing successful product design projects and leadership experience.
