Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards, hospital policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social aspects, and document findings accurately.
Care Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, medical diagnoses, and physician orders. Review and update care plans regularly.
Medication Administration: Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor for adverse reactions, and educate patients and families on medication regimens.
Wound Care: Provide expert wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and documenting wound status.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medication management, and self-care techniques.
Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, perform CPR and other life-saving measures as required.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
License: Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in {{country/state_of_licensure}}.
