Job Summary:

The Treasurer and Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial planning, reporting, cash management, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records and adherence to South African financial regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

**Treasury Functions:**

• Manage the company's cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to ensure liquidity and optimal returns.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures related to treasury activities.

• Forecast cash requirements and ensure availability of funds.

• Manage foreign exchange exposure where applicable.

**Controller Functions:**

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cost accounting.

• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) as adopted in South Africa.

• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.

• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Provide financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with all South African tax regulations (e.g., VAT, Income Tax, PAYE) and other statutory requirements.

• Manage and oversee external audits.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.

• Minimum of {{experience_years}} years of progressive experience in treasury and/or controlling roles, preferably within a South African SME environment.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation.

• Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
