Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting or digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of post-production processes, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging, and high-quality videos for various platforms (e.g., social media, website, presentations, advertising campaigns).
Collaborate with marketing, content, and production teams to understand project scope and objectives.
Review scripts, storyboards, and other project materials to plan editing strategy.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance video content.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running, adhering to company brand guidelines and project requirements.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Manage and organize media assets, including footage, audio files, and project files.
Meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Provide creative input and suggestions to improve video quality and impact.
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video editing projects.
Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Multimedia Arts, or a related field preferred, but not essential with demonstrable experience.
