Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The associate will ensure efficient and accurate handling of all inventory.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards.
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as needed.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
Perform quality checks on all outgoing orders to prevent errors.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including warehouse aisles, staging areas, and equipment.
Conduct inventory counts and assist in reconciling physical counts with the inventory system.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor.
Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred, but not always required.
Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and/or move objects up to {{weight_lift_kg}} kg (e.g., 50 lbs) frequently, stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment, with exposure to temperature changes, noise, and dust.
Requires the use of various warehouse equipment.
May require extended hours during peak seasons or busy periods.
