EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

This Employment Contract (“Agreement”) is made and entered into on this {{day}} day of {{month}}, {{year}}, by and between:

{{company_name}} (hereinafter referred to as “the Employer”), a company duly incorporated under the laws of [African Country], with its registered office at {{company_address}}.

AND

{{employee_full_name}} (hereinafter referred to as “the Employee”), residing at {{employee_address}}, hold[ing] national identity number/passport number {{employee_id_number}}.

1. COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT

The Employee's employment with the Employer shall commence on {{start_date}} ("Commencement Date").

2. POSITION AND DUTIES

The Employee is hereby employed in the position of {{job_title}}. The Employee shall report to {{supervisor_name}} ({{supervisor_title}}) and shall perform such duties and responsibilities as are customary to this position and as may be assigned by the Employer from time to time. The Employee agrees to devote their full time and attention during working hours to the business and affairs of the Employer.

3. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This employment is for a {{employment_type}} period (e.g., indefinite, fixed-term of {{duration}}).

If fixed-term, the employment shall automatically terminate on {{end_date}} unless earlier terminated in accordance with the provisions of this agreement.

4. REMUNERATION

The Employer shall pay the Employee a gross monthly salary of {{currency}} {{salary_amount}} ({{salary_amount_words}}) payable on or before the {{pay_day}} day of each month. This salary is subject to statutory deductions, including but not limited to, Pay As You Earn (PAYE), social security contributions, and any other deductions as required by law or agreed upon in writing by the Employee.

The Employee shall also be entitled to such benefits as set out in the Company's Employee Handbook or as may be generally applicable to employees of the Employer holding similar positions, including {{list_of_benefits}}.

5. WORKING HOURS

The Employee’s normal working hours shall be from {{start_time}} to {{end_time}}, Monday to Friday, with a {{break_duration}} lunch break. The Employee may be required to work overtime or on weekends as the needs of the business may dictate, for which a compensatory arrangement will be made in accordance with applicable labour laws.

6. LEAVE

The Employee shall be entitled to annual leave of {{annual_leave_days}} working days per annum, sick leave, and other forms of leave in accordance with the [African Country] Labour Act and the Employer’s Human Resources policy.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Employee acknowledges that during the course of employment, they may have access to confidential information regarding the Employer's business operations, finances, clients, and strategies. The Employee agrees not to disclose such confidential information to any third party during or after the term of employment, except as required by law or with the prior written consent of the Employer.

8. TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT

This Agreement may be terminated by either party giving {{notice_period}} written notice to the other party, or by the Employer paying the Employee salary in lieu of notice. The Employer may terminate this Agreement without notice in cases of gross misconduct as defined by the [African Country] Labour Act or the Company's disciplinary policy.

Upon termination, the Employee shall return all company property, documents, and data in their possession.

9. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [African Country]. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [African Country].
