POST-EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION RELEASE AGREEMENT
1. PARTIES
This Post-Employment Information Release Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) is made and entered into on this {{date}} day of {{month}}, {{year}}, by and between {{company_name}} (hereinafter the “Company”), located at {{company_address}}, and {{former_employee_name}} (hereinafter the “Former Employee”), residing at {{former_employee_address}}.
2. BACKGROUND
The Former Employee was employed by the Company from {{start_date}} to {{end_date}}. The Former Employee acknowledges and agrees that third parties may request information regarding their past employment with the Company for various purposes, including but not limited to, future employment verification, background checks, or securing credit.
4. LIMITATIONS ON INFORMATION RELEASE
The Company agrees that it will only release the information explicitly authorized in Section 3 of this Agreement. The Company shall not release any information pertaining to the Former Employee’s medical history, disability, marital status, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic, unless specifically compelled by law or court order.
5. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
The Former Employee, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby releases, acquits, and forever discharges the Company, its past and present officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of or in connection with the release of the information authorized hereunder. This waiver and release of liability applies to any statements made by the Company in good faith and without malice regarding the Former Employee’s employment.
6. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of {{country_name}}.
7. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions, whether oral or written, of the parties. No modification of this Agreement shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties.
8. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from this Agreement, and the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
