Leave & Time-Off Policy

1. Purpose

To define entitlements and processes for taking leave.

2. Scope

Applies to all permanent and fixed-term employees.

3. Definitions

  • Annual Leave: paid time off accrued monthly.
  • Sick Leave: paid leave for medical incapacity.
  • Family Responsibility Leave: statutory short leave for family events.

4. Responsibilities

  • Employees: apply for leave in advance via the leave system.
  • Managers: approve based on operational requirements.
  • HR: maintain accurate leave balances.

5. Procedures

  1. Apply via the leave system at least seven (7) days in advance.
  2. Provide medical certification for sick leave over two consecutive days.
  3. Approve or decline within three (3) working days.
  4. Resolve disputes via the grievance procedure.
  5. Reconcile leave balances at year end.

6. Compliance & Enforcement

Non-compliance may result in corrective action up to and including termination. The Company will apply this document consistently and in accordance with applicable law.
