TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT
This Training Reimbursement Agreement (hereinafter referred to as 'the Agreement') is made and entered into on this {{date}} by and between {{company_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Company'), with its principal place of business at {{company_address}}, and {{employee_name}} (hereinafter referred to as 'the Employee'), residing at {{employee_address}}.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the terms and conditions under which the Company will reimburse the Employee for approved training, education, or professional development programs that enhance the Employee's skills and knowledge relevant to their role and the Company's business objectives.
2. Approved Training Programs
All training programs, courses, certifications, or workshops (hereinafter collectively referred to as 'Training') must be pre-approved in writing by the Employee's direct manager and the Human Resources department. Approval will be based on the relevance of the Training to the Employee's current role, future career development within the Company, and the Company's strategic goals. The specific approved Training is: {{training_program_name}} offered by {{training_provider_name}}, commencing on {{training_start_date}} and concluding on {{training_end_date}}.
3. Reimbursement Scope and Conditions
The Company agrees to reimburse the Employee for reasonable and necessary expenses directly related to the approved Training, up to a maximum amount of {{reimbursement_limit_currency}} {{reimbursement_limit_amount}} ({{reimbursement_limit_words}}). Reimbursable expenses may include tuition fees, registration fees, examination fees, and essential course materials. Travel, accommodation, and subsistence allowances will be subject to the Company's standard travel and expense policy.
Reimbursement is conditional upon:
a) Successful completion of the Training, evidenced by a certificate of completion, transcript, or other official documentation from the training provider by {{completion_deadline_date}}.
b) The Employee achieving a satisfactory performance level as required by the Training provider.
c) The Employee remaining in the employ of the Company for a minimum period of {{service_period_months}} months ('the Service Period') following the completion date of the Training. The Service Period for this specific Training will commence on {{service_period_start_date}}.
4. Repayment Obligation
In the event that the Employee resigns, is dismissed for cause, or fails to complete the Training successfully, or fails to remain in the Company's employ for the full Service Period, the Employee agrees to repay the Company the full amount of the reimbursed Training expenses. The repayment will be calculated on a pro-rata basis if the Employee leaves prior to the completion of the Service Period.
The pro-rata repayment amount will be calculated as follows:
Repayment Amount = (Total Reimbursed Amount / Total Service Period in Months) * (Remaining Months in Service Period)
The Employee hereby authorises the Company to deduct any outstanding repayment amount from any final payments due to the Employee, including but not limited to, final salary, leave pay, or provident fund contributions, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Application for Reimbursement
The Employee must submit a completed expense claim form, along with original receipts and proof of completion, to the Human Resources department within {{days_to_submit_claim}} days of completing the Training or incurring the expense, whichever is later.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of {{country}}, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
7. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Company and the Employee with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior discussions, negotiations, and agreements, whether written or oral.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement on the date first written above.
