1. Policy Statement

5. Non-Retaliation

Retaliation includes, but is not limited to, adverse employment actions, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination. 6. Investigation
All reported concerns will be promptly and thoroughly investigated in a fair and objective manner. The investigation will be conducted by appropriate personnel, which may include internal staff, independent legal counsel, or external auditors, depending on the nature and complexity of the report. The whistleblower may be contacted for additional information during the investigation.
7. Outcome
Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate corrective actions will be taken, if warranted. The whistleblower will be informed of the general outcome of the investigation, respecting the confidentiality and privacy of all involved parties. If the reported concern is found to be unsubstantiated, no further action will be taken.
8. Malicious Allegations
This policy is intended to protect individuals who make good faith reports. However, anyone who knowingly makes false or malicious allegations may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer service.
9. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically by the {{governing_body}} (e.g., Board of Directors, Governance Committee) to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and best practices. The last review date was {{last_review_date}}.
