ADDENDUM TO RENT AGREEMENT

This Addendum is made and entered into this {{day}} day of {{month}}, {{year}}, by and between:

Landlord: {{landlord_name}}, residing at {{landlord_address}} (hereinafter referred to as "Landlord")

AND

Tenant: {{tenant_name}}, residing at {{tenant_address}} (hereinafter referred to as "Tenant")

RECITALS

WHEREAS, Landlord and Tenant entered into a Rent Agreement dated {{original_agreement_date}} (hereinafter referred to as "Original Agreement") for the property located at {{property_address}} (hereinafter referred to as "the Property"); and

WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend certain terms and conditions of the Original Agreement as set forth herein.

TERMS OF ADDENDUM

1. **Amendment to Rent Amount:** Section {{original_rent_section}} of the Original Agreement, pertaining to the monthly rent, shall be amended as follows: The monthly rent payable by the Tenant to the Landlord shall be {{new_rent_amount}} ({{new_rent_amount_words}}) commencing from {{effective_date_of_rent_change}}. All other terms regarding rent payment, including the due date and penalties for late payment, shall remain unchanged.

2. **Additional Clauses:** The following clauses are hereby added to the Original Agreement:

a. **Pets:** Notwithstanding any prior agreement, the Tenant is permitted/not permitted to keep pets on the Property, subject to the conditions outlined in Annexure A attached hereto. A non-refundable pet deposit of {{pet_deposit_amount}} shall be paid by the Tenant upon signing this Addendum.

b. **Maintenance Responsibilities:** The responsibility for the maintenance of {{specific_maintenance_item}} shall now rest with {{responsible_party}} (Landlord/Tenant), effective from {{maintenance_responsibility_effective_date}}.

3. **Deletion of Clauses:** Section {{deleted_section_number}} of the Original Agreement, specifically the clause regarding {{deleted_clause_description}}, is hereby deleted in its entirety.

4. **Extension of Lease Term:** The lease term, as stipulated in Section {{original_term_section}} of the Original Agreement, is hereby extended for an additional period of {{extension_period}} (e.g., six months, one year), commencing from {{new_start_date}} and ending on {{new_end_date}}. All other terms and conditions of the lease agreement shall remain in full force and effect during the extended term.

CONTINUATION OF ORIGINAL AGREEMENT

Except as expressly modified by this Addendum, all other terms, conditions, and covenants of the Original Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

GOVERNING LAW

This Addendum shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of {{country_name}}.
