Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites, assisting skilled tradespeople, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role requires diligence, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist skilled craftspeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers) with their duties.

Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.

Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Erect and dismantle scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures.

Demolish structures and remove debris.

Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred but not essential.

Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.

Basic understanding of construction safety practices.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (where applicable).

Working Conditions

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

The work may involve exposure to dust, noise, hazardous materials, and elevated heights.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed boots will be provided and must be worn at all times.

Reporting Structure

The Construction Laborer will report directly to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
