Job Summary
The Electronic Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts based on engineering specifications and design input. This role requires precision, strong technical skills, and adherence to industry standards to support the development and production of electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings using CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
Design PCB layouts, considering signal integrity, power distribution, thermal management, and manufacturability.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and support documentation for electronic assemblies.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
Perform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications.
Maintain accurate and organized design files, ensuring version control and proper documentation.
Assist in the selection of electronic components and materials.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback.
Adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IPC) and company procedures.
Qualifications
**Education:**
Diploma or degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
**Experience:**
Proven experience as an Electronic Drafter or PCB Designer, preferably in {{industry_name}}.
