Job Summary
The First-Line Supervisor/Manager, Administrative Support, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of administrative and clerical staff. This role ensures efficient office operations, manages team performance, and provides guidance and support to administrative personnel to achieve departmental and organisational goals. The supervisor will be instrumental in fostering a productive work environment and maintaining high standards of administrative service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of administrative support staff, including receptionists, administrative assistants, and clerical personnel.
Assign and delegate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure timely completion of administrative duties.
Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members.
Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Oversee office supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility management to ensure a smooth operational environment.
Manage schedules, approve leave requests, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Handle escalated administrative issues and resolve conflicts within the team.
Assist in the recruitment and training of new administrative staff.
Prepare reports on administrative activities, team performance, and operational metrics.

Qualifications and Experience
